Past saturday, July 9th, 2022, Alvaro Henrique made a concert celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Brazilian Modernism movement, which had Heitor Villa-Lobos as the main leader in music, organized by Fundacao Astrojildo Pereira and artistic direction by Augusto Guerra-Vicente.
Although the speeches are in English, classical guitar music is universal. The program features Villa-Lobos’ 12 Studies for Guitar, Guerra-Peixe’s Sonata for guitar and, as an encore, Baden-Powell’s O Astronauta.
